Table Runner

Green with geometric border

This emerald green textile accompanied by a hand-woven decorative geometric border, known as a tibeb pattern, represents ancient Ethiopian weaving traditions. Using pure, naturally spun cotton, locally sourced wool, and silk, this sustainable fabric represents authentic Ethiopian culture and national identity.

In Ethiopian culture the green threads and accents woven into traditional tibeh textiles primarily symbolize the fertility and richness of the land, agricultural abundance, and a hopeful, prosperous future for the nation. As part of the pan-African tricolor (green, yellow, and red) green on traditional tibeb echoes national pride and unity.
